Mountain Goat Kids Trail Run Series is the nation’s first organized youth running series focused on getting children on the trails.

Courses are set on single and double track trails and are guaranteed to challenge the kids both physically and mentally.

When they cross the finish line, the sense of accomplishment and the ear-to-ear smiles are full of pride. The energy is contagious for kids and parents alike.

Locations are selected to create awareness for the Mountain Goat families about the local trail systems. The events are designed to encourage families to take advantage of their beautiful state.

Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) funding has invested more than $1.5 million in the Colorado parks and open spaces hosting Mountain Goat Kids trail runs. GOCO grants have helped parks recover from the 2013 floods, improved campgrounds and swim areas, conserved open space, built trails, and provided environmental education opportunities for kids. Funded solely by Colorado Lottery proceeds since 1992, GOCO has awarded grants for more than 4,500 projects in all 64 counties of Colorado. For more information, visit www.goco.org.

MOUNTAIN GOAT KID
SNOWMASS REGISTRATION

The 2017 Ragnar Trail Snowmass – CO
presented by Salomon

Ragnar Trail Snowmass-CO presented by Salomon brings you the perfect fusion of trail running, high-country camping and Rocky Mountain beauty. Teams of 8 (or 4) will find their inner wild on three separate mountain trails, or “loops”, that start and finish at Ragnar Village. Glacial valleys, snowcapped peaks and blooming wildflowers set the scene as you make your way along rolling single-track. Though you may blame the altitude, in the end it will be the stunning mountain views that take your breath away. Conquer each climb and you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness — not to mention a much needed downhill. Enjoy world class lodging at Snowmass or camp under billions of stars with your team at Ragnar Village. We can’t promise it will be easy, but what we can promise is an unforgettable running adventure with friends complete with s’mores, fresh mountain air and a party atmosphere that Ragnarians have come to love.

In addition to hosting the kids trail event, Mountain Goat Kids is a featured non-profit for Ragnar’s Extra Mile campaign. Simply donate or run for the cause as one of our sponsored teams.
